Sports Day
(school activities)
Offer a dream day to your primary school or high school students. From the moment the students arrive at Olympic Park until the time they leave, qualified leaders will do their utmost to provide them with a magical experience on the very site of the 21st Olympiad. The Sports Centre is now home of the new Québec Aquatic Training Centre. For you, it’s an easy day to organize, and for your students, it’s an unforgettable day!
When they arrive, the children will be supervised by a qualified leader who will introduce them to different types of sports activities:
1. Sports activities With experience gained over the years, the Sports Day program is structured so as to offer a range of activities geared to the needs and interests of the participants. All of the activities take place in two main areas:
- Swimming pool Various water games, swimming, diving*, bubble pool*, inflatable tubes, Tarzan rope or Tyrolean traverse, etc. * subject to availabilities.
- Gymnasium Ball games, group activities, relay races, etc.
2. Options
- Montréal Tower Observatory Ride the funicular to the top of the highest inclined tower in the world. What a sight! The Saint Lawrence River to the south, the skyscrapers of downtown Montréal, Mount Royal casting its shadow on the roofs below and, off in the distance, the Laurentian mountains with their peaks in the clouds. When you make your Sports Day reservation, we’ll give you all the information you need.
- Underwater diving This option offers an initiation to underwater diving for third-cycle students and over.
Please take note that bathing caps are not mandatory.
Groups can get to the Olympic Park by bus or metro (Viau station). Students are greeted at the Tourist Hall when they arrive. A qualified leader then supervises the group for the whole day. We can accommodate up to 8 groups per day.
Orientation takes place at 9:15 a.m. Activities begin around 9:30 a.m. and continue until 11:00 a.m. (pool) and 11:10 a.m. (gymnasium). Lunch is at 11:30 a.m. Activities resume around 12:15 p.m. and continue until 1:40 p.m. (pool) and 1:50 p.m. (gymnasium). The day ends at 2:15 p.m.
